Globes: competing with this Comedy drama award season

BEVERLY HILLS, California (AP)-Ricky Gervais, who are likely to ruffle feathers with pungent wisecracks directed at celebrity, made the arrival early Sunday on the red carpet Golden Globes, together with such stars as George Clooney, Melissa McCarthy and dogs from “Artist.”

Clooney comes with nominations for the two films-”The offspring” and “the Ides of March”-but told E! television: “I don’t think I would win four, so I suspect I’ll be the big loser tonight.”

Emanuel defended Bill Daley, dump in d.c.
